Angie's Heart of Hope CIC ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This notice explains what personal data we collect, why, and what your rights are. We are the data controller for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Angie's Heart of Hope CIC, Company No. 17366406, a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales. Contact: angieheartofhope@gmail.com.
We keep enquiry and volunteer application data for as long as is necessary to deal with your enquiry or application, and for up to 24 months afterwards in case of follow-up, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or the law requires us to keep it for longer (for example, safeguarding records, which may need to be retained for longer periods in line with safeguarding good practice).
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We only share information with third parties where necessary — for example, with statutory safeguarding authorities where there is a genuine welfare concern, or with a service provider who processes data on our behalf (such as our email or hosting provider) under appropriate confidentiality terms.
Where our published stories involve a child, we take particular care: we do not publish a child's surname, exact location, school, or other identifying details, and we do not collect or publish personal data about a child without appropriate consent from a parent, guardian, or responsible organisation. See our Safeguarding Statement for more detail.
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct inaccurate data; ask us to delete your data; restrict or object to certain processing; and data portability, where applicable. To exercise any of these rights, email angieheartofhope@gmail.com.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal data, please contact us first so we can try to put things right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
We may update this notice from time to time as our organisation grows. The date at the top shows when it was last reviewed.
